Ultralytics automatic docs translation is so boring

Even if I select English it comes back to my native language, and the translation is LLM generated and is pretty inaccurate.

Please do something.

You mean it automatically selects your language?

Is your device/system/browser language in your native language?

Yes that’s what I mean. It selects automatically the language and translates very poorly. I’m not able to understand the translation in my native language (French), because it’s inaccurate. It’s good for high description, but very bad for technical documentation.

Yes I think I was using Firefox or Chromium.

Got it — the docs language is auto-selected from your browser’s preferred languages (the Accept-Language header), so if Firefox/Chromium is set to French it can keep snapping back and serving the French machine translation.

If you want to force English, please try opening the English version explicitly (use the /en/ docs path) and set English as the first preferred language in your browser settings (or remove French from the top). After that, the site language selector should “stick”; if it doesn’t, clearing site data for the docs domain (cookies/local storage) usually fixes the loop.

If you can paste one or two specific pages where the French technical translation is misleading, we can prioritize improving them; our docs translation flow is tracked in the internal handbook under the documentation workflow and we can also take PRs if you’d like to contribute fixes.

@Alexis_Motet Can you test if this still occurs in incognito mode?
